Agenda

When will the final conference agenda be posted to the conference website?

The final agenda is usually posted about one month prior to the conference.

Where can I find the agenda?

A draft straw man agenda is now posted for travel planning purposes. We will update the draft agenda as we confirm events and sessions.

How can I network with peers at this conference?

You can meet with your colleagues by joining our networking events on Tuesday. Additionally, the staff from Oregon will be available at the Information Desk to make suggestions for activities and to assist in coordinating with attendees who are interested in the same activity such as golfing or a visit to the Rose Garden. Lastly, we will be meeting at both hotels for an early AM walk or run. We will post details of the location to meet and time as we get closer to the conference. A list of pre-registered conference attendees will be posted to the website about three weeks before the conference.

What is a demo room and how can my company reserve one?

The conference has reserved 5 demonstration rooms at the Convention Center for the duration of the conference. Please contact NESCSO 508.856.8229 for specific details. If all rooms have been reserved, you may inquire at the Convention Center and the hotels for other available meeting rooms.

How can someone reach me in case of emergency at the conference?

If someone from your family or office needs to reach you in an emergency situation while you're at the conference, and they've exhausted all other possibilities, have the person call the MMIS conference phone at 508-856.8229 and we'll do our best to get the message to you.

What is included in the booth rental fee?

10'x10' booths include: one (1) complimentary registration, pipe and drape, 1/8 page ad and logo displayed in conference program, electricity (5 amps), and participation in the “Welcome Reception” on Sunday in the Exhibits area.

Booth COSTS are NON-REFUNDABLE/NON-TRANSFERABLE and must be paid by invoice due date.

What is the theme for MMIS 2010?

The theme for MMIS 2010 will be Making Medicaid Information Sustainable .

What colors will be featured in the exhitbit hall?

Pipe and drape will be Green. 

We want to decorate our Booth? Are you working with a decorator/drayage company?

The drayage company for the conference will be DWA Trade Show and Exposition Services. The 2010 exhibitor service kit will be available soon.

What is your sponsorship refund policy?

All sponsorships are NON-REFUNDABLE /NON-TRANSFERABLE.

We are a corporation with a booth in the exhibit hall. At this time we don’t know who will be attending but want to reserve our rooms now. How can we do this?

You need to register each individual for the conference as well as make a hotel reservation for that person. If at a later date this person is unable to attend, you can either transfer their conference registration to another staff member or cancel their registration completely (deadline for cancellations/refunds of conference registration is July 15, 2010 ). No registration changes will be allowed at the conference. You will need to contact the hotel to change any room reservations.

Where can I find a list of attendees?

The MMIS 2009 FINAL Attendee List is available. We will send exhibitors and sponsors a MMIS 2010 pre-conference registration list about three weeks before the conference.

Registration

What are the registration costs for the conference?

The rate for GOVERENMENT EMPLOYEES is $395. The rate for NON-GOVERNMENT attendees is $495. There is not a one day conference rate. Our online registration service will allow you to pay by credit card, PO, or check.

How do I register for the conference?

All registrations are via CVent. The Register Now link is located on the drop-down registration tab on every page of our conference website.

How do I cancel or modify my registration information?

Contact NESCSO for all registration cancelations or modifications

What is your refund policy?

Registering for this event requires that a registrant agree to the cancellation/refund policy and payment schedule.

  • Use of a credit card still obligates the registrant to the stated cancellation/refund policy.
  • All cancellations/refunds will incur a $50 processing/cancellation fee. 
  • All cancellations/refunds must be processed through NESCSO
  • No cancellations/refunds after July 15, 2010.  
  • Registration fees for "no shows" will not be refunded

What does my registration include?

Daily admission to the sessions and exhibit hall, Monday through Thursday breakfasts, Monday through Wednesday lunches, refreshment breaks and access to networking events that do not require an additional fee.

The Travel Portland website is filled with a host of information and things to do. There is a staffed Visitor Information kiosk within the Convention Center as well. Additionally, the Oregon staff will be available at the Information Desk with suggestions for local activities.

Speaker Resources

The 2010 MMIS Conference staff is committed to assisting all speakers in making sure their presentations are a success. There are many logistical details that are best organized in advance, so your cooperation in responding by the various deadlines as communicated to you is sincerely appreciated. All speakers attending the conference are required to register and pay the conference registration fee. Any speakers attending the conference on the day of their presentation ONLY, may have the registration fee waived. Please contact Nancy Peterson for specific details.

Pre-conference
We suggest that you have your presentations available on a USB drive so we may load it onto the conference laptop machines. If you need assistance with this process, or need an alternative plan for your presentation, please contact Nancy Peterson at 508.856.6425

Post conference
All of the conference presentations will be available on the conference website shortly after the conference. Please have your contact information listed on your presentation.

Abstracts
Presentation abstracts should be 150 words or less and submitted ONLINE by February 26, 2010.

Bio's
Each speaker is asked to submit a brief (100 words) bio to Nancy Peterson . Please submit a bio by June 11 to be included in the conference program.

What is a vendor track session and how can my company reserve one?

The 2010 MMIS Conference agenda includes a track devoted entirely to vendor products and services. For the 2010 conference, there are fourteen seventy-five minute Vendor Track sessions available . These sessions are listed in the program guide along with your logo and your 150 word abstract. To purchase a vendor track, please contact NESCSO .
