Nashville Tennessee - September 14-18

On behalf of the State of Tennessee, NESCSO is pleased to invite you to participate in the 2008 MMIS Conference to be held September 14-18, 2008 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. The vendor community plays an important role in providing opportunities for conference attendees to sample and explore the latest technical developments and initiatives related to the Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS). We value your participation as an integral part of the success of this event and hope that we will have an opportunity to work with you on the 2008 conference in the Music City, Nashville!

As the conference organizer for Tennessee, NESCSO’s goal is provide you and our attendees the best value for the time and resources spent at the conference. To successfully achieve this goal, NESCSO will be asking our 2008 exhibitors and sponsors to follow guidelines related to prizes and receptions. Our State and Federal attendees are mindful of what is an acceptable “gift” from a vendor and we ask that our vendors make every effort to offer give-aways, prizes, and events that may be accepted and enjoyed by the attendees.

NESCSO will also be changing the process this year for those companies interested in sponsoring a reception. Due to the fact that there are a limited number of evening slots, we will no longer be limiting the number of receptions that may be held on a particular evening. We will ask each company wishing to sponsor a reception to fill out a reception “proposal” which will request the evening and time (Tuesday night is not available as the conference will be offering attendees group tickets for the Grand Ole Opry which is only held on Tuesdays and Saturdays) theme, location, and approximate budget per person. We are also asking that all receptions be held on property as Opryland has many areas to choose from and this eliminates the need for transportation to off property venues. The reception proposals will be reviewed by the conference committee who will make the final decision on conference sponsored events. The conference committee will be reviewing each proposal to be sure the guidelines (listed on the form) have been met. Decisions will no longer be based solely on a “first-come first served basis.” As in the past, the NESCSO team will work with reception hosts and Opyland on the logistics for all conference sponsored events.
